Safeguarding at Newbury Baptist Church

As a church, we believe that we are privileged to be trusted to work with people of all ages experiences and abilities. Creating a safe and secure environment for everyone to explore and develop their faith is an essential part of our role. Additionally it is our responsibility to create a safe and secure working environment for our staff and volunteers.

Newbury Baptist Church has created a comprehensive set of Safeguarding policies and procedures. These are in place to ensure everyone who participates in our activities can be confident that they are in a safe place.

We are also pleased to provide an organisation and culture where anyone can raise  concerns or share their sense of insecurity. Our procedures provide a confidential and supportive structure to address any issue quickly and effectively whilst maintaining the privacy of all those involved.

Newbury Baptist Church has two published policy and procedure documents which can be accessed here:

Safe to Grow - Safeguarding (children)

Safe to Belong - Adults at risk

Any questions or requests for additional details can be addressed directly to the Deacon responsible. Contact details are available from the Church Office
